Meow Wolf
As the Senior Social Media Manager at Meow Wolf, I served as the owner and lead for our organic social media efforts. Managing editorial calendars and content production for 16+ social media channels with a combined following of over 2.66 million, I specialized in creative storytelling that drove ticket sales and strengthened brand loyalty for our online superfans. This included copywriting, asset selection, project management, short-form video editing, and more. I provided strategic direction to content teams, ensuring social media strategies aligned with overall brand objectives and maintained a consistent voice. I worked with the Community Manager in brand stewardship, analyzing audience behavior to generate insights, refine engagement strategies, and foster deeper connections. I also wrote blog articles that reflected Meow Wolf’s distinct voice, offering our online fanbase a deeper dive into the art and artists they know and love. In this leadership role, I supervised two direct reports and facilitated ongoing cross-departmental collaboration.
Family of four
“Family of 4” was our top-performing video on TikTok in 2024 by views, engagements, and engagement rate. I concepted this video, wrote the script for it, and collaborated on the shoot. We leaned into the trending tradwife content and “come shopping with me” that we saw online but put a uniquely Meow Wolf twist on it.
artists across the universe
We developed the “Artists Across the Multiverse” social media mini series to amplify the current and ongoing work of Meow Wolf collaborating artists on our platforms. Working with internal teams such as VisDev, Legal, and our artist liaisons made this a collaborative cross-departmental effort that came together in a really beautiful way. The comments section showed the videos really resonated with our online community! I led and edited these episodes with Denver artists Rainbow Dome, view episode two and episode three.
Missed Connections
Inspired by the nostalgia of Craigslist circa 2007, I had the idea to create a Meow Wolf Missed Connections post that our team then developed in collaboration with our in-house designers. The first post asked our community to “Let us help you find your ethereal dreamy sweetheart 🫧🌈🦋.” This two-part concept was a really sweet way to engage our followers in some wholesome silliness. Did R@ Boy find their secret admirer? Was reaching for the same Just Leg the year’s best meetcute? We selected our favorites for the roundup pictured here.
Where to Break Up at Meow Wolf
This Blob post highlights the best places, from the most tender to most dramatic, to have The Talk at a Meow Wolf exhibition. Shoutout to my colleague, Quinn, for writing this instant classic in a heartfelt and hilarious way! We knew it performed well in clickable outputs like our newsletter or Facebook page but I wanted to turn it into a video to create a closed-loop experience on Instagram and TikTok for our audience to consume the content without having to leave the platforms.
Field Trips
When our Impact team launched their new education curriculum, I created a social-first video to synchronize our support with the other launch efforts, like a press release and blob article. Knowing that glossy marketing photos aren’t always the best fit for our social channels, I made a lofi b-roll video that spoke to people’s sense of nostalgia and wonder, evoking comments like: “if i went here as a child my life would look really different” and “Coming here in 6th grade would have CHANGED me 🤩”
Multiverse Bucket List
Selecting assets and writing captions to inspire guests to purchase tickets was an important and ongoing part of the social media strategy at Meow Wolf. With how frequently I worked on this type of content, it was important to keep the copywriting fresh and the tone uniquely Meow Wolf.
Tech Team Feature
One of my favorite parts of this job was telling the stories of the many hands and hearts that create the somewhat indescribable experience of a Meow Wolf exhibit. I got to collaborate with the super smart and awesome Andrew England to make this video highlighting what our tech team does. A frequent question I heard is “what happens when stuff breaks?” and it was always my pleasure to say “actually, we have an incredible in-house team that is constantly repairing and innovating every single day here.
